Holy Week: Our Journey of Joy and Reflection

We are walking through Holy Week, and it has already been a meaningful and beautiful time here at Trinity.

Our journey began last Saturday with our Easter Egg Hunt, and what a joyful moment it was! Even with the rain falling gently around us, we were surrounded by children laughing, parents smiling, and a community full of life and love. We were so grateful to have the support of our friends from Abiding Presence Lutheran Church in Ewing, who shared the Easter story with the little ones and led them in joyful songs that filled the air. It was such a gift to see the kids singing and listening so attentively.

There were also Easter-themed activities for the children and light refreshments for the parents. We had a beautiful time to gather, chat, and just enjoy each other’s company. The space felt full of warmth, color, and joy. And of course, the big moment arrived when the Easter Bunny appeared to lead the Egg Hunt! Watching the kids run around with excitement and laughter was simply priceless.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the love and work of an amazing team. So a big thank you to everyone who decorated, brought food, helped spread the word, prepared activities, hid the eggs, and made everything run so smoothly. Your care and time made this event just fun and meaningful.

Then on Sunday, we gathered for Palm/Passion Sunday here at Trinity. The service invited us into a quieter and deeper space. A time of spiritual reflection and contemplation as we move with Jesus toward the cross. It was meaningful to be together, to wave our palms, and to remember the love that walks with us through joy and sorrow alike.

As we continue our Holy Week journey, I want to warmly invite you to the remaining services:

  • Maundy Thursday (Soup Supper + Service) at Titusville UMC, this Thursday at 6:00 PM.
  • Good Friday service for the Seven Last Words, this Friday at 12:00 Noon, at Ewing Presbyterian Church.
  • And of course, join us to celebrate the joy of Easter Sunday, this Sunday at 10:45 AM, right here at Trinity.

Let us walk this week together with open hearts, with gratitude, and with the hope that Easter brings. See you soon!

Warmly,

Rev. David Gaitan
