Happy Easter Season, Trinity Family!

Christ is risen! And what a joy it has been to celebrate this Holy Week and Easter season with all of you! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your presence, your prayers, your helping hands, and your commitment to walk through this meaningful journey together as a church family.

We started strong with an incredible Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12, even with a bit of unpredictable weather. The laughter of children, the bright eggs hidden all around, and the beautiful storytelling and music led by our friends from Abiding Presence Lutheran Church made it such a special time. Huge thanks to everyone who decorated, prepared snacks, hid eggs, and helped us welcome so many families from the community.

Then on Palm Sunday, our sanctuary was filled with reverence and beauty as we stepped into Holy Week with prayer and reflection. Thank you to everyone who participated in the service, it was a gift to share that moment of deep spiritual connection, waving palms, and contemplation infront the cross together.

Maundy Thursday brought us to the table in the most meaningful way. We gathered at Titusville UMC for a simple but profound soup supper, feet and hand washing, and Holy Communion, joined by our brothers and sisters from Pennington and Titusville United Methodist Churches. What a beautiful act of fellowship and shared faith! We could truly feel the Spirit among us.

On Good Friday, many of us came together at Ewing Covenant Presbyterian Church for the powerful Seven Last Words service, co-organized with Abiding Presence Lutheran, Trinity UMC, and Ewing Covenant. The silence, the reflection, the music, and the messages invited us into a space of holy reverence. It was a deep ecumenical worship moment that touched many hearts.

In the quiet of Holy Saturday, we were honored to host a small wedding in our sanctuary. Yes, even on a day marked by waiting and reflection, love showed up. It is a joy for our church to hold space for moments like this, where grace and new beginnings meet.

And finally… Easter Sunday! What a glorious morning it was! Full of music, smiles, hugs, Alleluias, and hope. We celebrated the resurrection of Christ with joy, music in our hearts, and Communion at the Lord’s Table. Thank you to those who prepared the table, served the elements, helped with coffee hour, and simply came to worship and celebrate that our God is not dead: He is risen!

This Holy Week reminded us of who we are as Trinity: a people committed to love, service, and community. I am so thankful for each one of you. May the joy of the resurrection keep guiding us forward.

Warmly,

Rev. David Gaitan
