Ebenezer: Up to here the Lord has helped us
As I sit here, gazing at the breathtaking sunset captured in this image, I am reminded of the greatness of our God. This vacation has been a time of rest, reflection, and spiritual renewal—a gift that has refilled my spirit and allowed me to appreciate the goodness that surrounds us.
The sun dipping below the horizon was more than a picturesque moment; it was a profound encounter with the Divine. As the colors blended and the sky transformed, I felt a deep connection to the Creator. In those quiet moments, I sensed God’s presence and love, reaffirming my call as a pastor.
Trinity, you have been in my heart throughout my time away. I have missed our fellowship, our shared laughter, and the warmth of our community. The pulpit, too, has been missed by me. But distance has a way of revealing what truly matters, and I have carried each of you with me in prayer.
I am thrilled to share that I have received my non-immigrant R-1 visa, allowing me to continue serving as your pastor here in the United States. Our plans, projects, and dreams for this community can now unfold with renewed vigor. My soul overflows with joy, knowing that we have a future filled with purpose and possibility.
I would like to make sure to convey my gratitude to Pastor John Morrison, Pastor Christina Lelache, the leadership, and the liturgists for their dedicated service during my absence. They have been a blessing to our community.
Mark your calendars! This Sunday, June 23rd, I will be back in the pulpit. I can’t wait to see your familiar faces, hear your stories, and share the Word once more. Let us gather, celebrate, and continue our journey together.
May God’s grace and love surround you until then.
Warmly,
Rev. David Gaitan
