We haven’t reached the end of the world (yet)

Alright, let’s break it down. We’ve had some pretty wild stuff happen lately—like that total eclipse that turned day into night across the US, and even an earthquake shaking things up in New Jersey, which, by the way, isn’t exactly a hotspot for earthquakes. Plus, all the usual scary news about wars and rumors of wars. But despite all that, we’re still here. The world hasn’t called it quits on us yet.

You know, the Bible talks about all these signs that are supposed to happen before the end of the world. But if you think about it, we humans have been through this kind of stuff for centuries. It’s nothing new. It reminds me of that cartoon where one guy is all serious, saying, “One day we’re gonna die,” and the other guy’s like, “Sure, but not today.” This simple exchange captures a profound truth: the end will come when it comes, and until then, we live.

So, what do we do while we’re waiting around, not knowing when the final credits will roll? We love. We love big, we love all the time, and we love everywhere. That’s the best plan while we’re hanging out, waiting for the end that might not even come in our lifetime. Maybe it’ll be way down the line for future folks to deal with.

And who knows? Maybe if we keep on loving—loving God, loving each other, and loving our planet—we might just put off the end a bit longer. It could be that the world’s finale will only happen if we stop caring about these things. So let’s not do that. Let’s keep the love going strong. Because in the end, that’s what really matters. And maybe, just maybe, that love will turn ‘the end’ into a whole new start.
