Trinity’s steadfast commitment to being an LGBTQ+ friendly community lies at the center of our purpose. People of all gender identities and sexual orientations can find acceptance here, as well as encouragement and support for their spiritual journeys. In a society where prejudice frequently seeps into places of worship, Trinity UMC serves as a haven where everyone is accepted exactly as they are.
Currently, Trinity’s ministry reaches out to serve a wide range of demographics, with a special emphasis on the needs of young adults, adults, and senior adults. Trinity provides a safe haven for young adults navigating the complexity of our contemporary society. This is a place where we may explore our faith together, have deep conversations, and find direction through life’s obstacles. Senior adults find a place where they are respected for their wisdom and actively participate in the vibrant fabric of the church community at the same time.
Following the Wesleyan heritage, Trinity UMC’s ministry goes much beyond our sanctuary walls; via outreach programs, social justice advocacy, and collaborations with neighborhood organizations, we actively are growing in our engagements with the community. Trinity UMC is devoted to improving the lives of people we serve, whether it is via serving the needy, fighting for racial justice, or attending to the needs of marginalized communities.
While possessing strong beliefs, Trinity also wants to keep establishing robust connections with The College of New Jersey’s (TCNJ) student body, as it has done so far, recognizing this as an imperative opportunity to exemplify our values and cultivate an inclusive atmosphere for the younger generation.
